Jícama with Lime

Jicama 1 Jícama is a remarkably healthy and (in my opinion) under eaten vegetable! Jícama is a (basically) flavorless root vegetable with a wonderful texture. It is low in calories, high in fiber, and has a very low glycemic index. The fiber in jícama is filled with oligofructose inulin, which increases the absorption of calcium from other foods, helps maintain healthy bones, & promotes a healthy gut. Jicama Jícama is very refreshing and perfect on a hot day or after a light workout.

Jícama with Lime
  • 1 Jícama
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • a small pinch of sea salt, optional
  1. Peel and slice the Jícama.
  2. Drizzle with lime juice and sea salt (optional).
