Paleo, Gluten Free Croutons

Caesar 2_new Salads without croutons are just not the same to me. These are delicious and add that much needed crunch (that I have missed) back to my salads!

Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Cut the bread into crouton-size pieces.
  3. Optional: If you have time, let the bread sit out for a few hours to dry out.
  4. Place the croutons on a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet. Brush them with ghee or coconut oil. I spray mine with Avocado Oil in my Misto Sprayer.
  5. Cook for 15 minutes, or until lightly browned and crispy. Optional: broil for 1 minute at the end.
  6. Allow to cool completely.
Notes
These are best eaten right away. If you want to save them, store in an airtight container in the fridge. The next day, place them under the broiler for a minute or two to get crispy again.
